Komplett Bookkeeping Terms & Conditions
General
By using the information, services and products available through Komplett Bookkeeping, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions contained herein, which are subject to change without notice. Komplett Bookkeeping is providing a bookkeeping service for a fee. Other services may also be offered.
Komplett Bookkeeping may modify this Agreement at any time. By continuing business relations with Komplett Bookkeeping you agree to the terms and conditions set forth below including any revisions.
Fees and Payment Terms
The fee for services is as agreed upon at the time of quotation. Fee’s may be charged as hourly rates or flat rates and will be invoiced accordingly. Any change to hourly rate and or flat fee’s will be submitted to you in the form of a revised quote. Either a purchase order or signed quotation will be required for all services. Invoice will be issued at either (A) the end of a work project or (B) at the end of the week (bi-weekly billing available for long term jobs). Invoice will be due and payable 10 days from the date of issuance. Any past due invoices will be subject to a 10% late charge for each month that the payment is late.
Internal and Accounting Controls
We advise that the responsibility for the maintenance of a business accounting system and internal control systems rests with you (the client), including the protection of and prevention against fraud as well as computer file backup. If any material weakness in the accounting system or internal control systems comes to our notice, we will advise accordingly.
It is important to remember that you are personally responsible for the information contained in any return and that you must retain all necessary supporting documentation to substantiate your transaction. We will not take responsibility for any failure on your behalf to maintain adequate records.
It will be your responsibility to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the records and information supplied and to provide explanations on any item questioned in the course of the business relations. This is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the financial information compiled under this relationship.
Ownership of Work
Final statements, returns and any other documents which Komplett Bookkeeping engages in preparing, together with any other original documents given to us, shall remain your property. Any other documents brought into existence by Komplett Bookkeeping will remain the property of Komplett Bookkeeping, however, we will always provide you with copies of any documents that you may require from time to time.
If our services are terminated, we shall be entitled to retain your source documents and any other information we have in our possession until payment in full is received. It is agreed that all materials furnished to Komplett Bookkeeping are owned by you or you have the permission from the rightful owner to use such materials, and
you will hold harmless, protect and defend Komplett Bookkeeping from any claim or action which may arise from the use of such materials.
Disclosure by Komplett Bookkeeping
Komplett Bookkeeping will not at any time disclose to any third party any information that is identified as confidential without your consent or unless required to by law. We will protect such information and treat it as strictly confidential both during the business relationship period, and after termination of the business relationship, information that is freely available in the public domain will not be considered confidential. On termination of our business relationship, it is the policy of Komplett Bookkeeping to retain client files for a period of seven (7) years from the date of the last communication. Unless otherwise instructed by you, we shall have the right to destroy your file at that time.
Komplett Bookkeeping will not be held responsible for loss due to error or damage at any time. Komplett Bookkeeping assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this site. The information contained in this site is provided on an “as is” basis with no guarantees of completeness, accuracy, usefulness or timeliness and without any warranties of any kind whatsoever, expressed or implied.
Electronic Transmission
We are able to send, receive and store files electronically. However, electronic mail is not secure and any files transmitted may, among other things, be copied, recorded, read or interfered with by a third party while in transit. If we transmit any file electronically, you agree to release us from any claim you may have as a result of any
unauthorized copying, recording, reading or interference with that document after transmission, for any delay or non-delivery of any file and for any damage caused to your system or any files by a transmission. Our services may be performed onsite or offsite. In the instances where we are required to work at your premises, Komplett Bookkeeping will take all due care and consideration to ensure no loss and/or damage occurs. However, we shall not be held
responsible for any loss and/or damage incurred whilst at your premises.
